Rugby Flyer Road Bike Event – Break the Hour and be awarded the Rugby Flyer Medal

Event Notes: Sunday 21st September has a 09:00 start.

Sign-on at Bourton Village Hall (Bourton Draycote and Frankton Village Hall), Frankton Rd, Bourton on Dunsmore, Rugby CV23 9QT. Car park area adjacent to the hall. Ladies toilets, gents toilets and a disabled persons toilet with baby changing facilities.

Please review the K10/25A course map before start.

Start on B4453 (Princethorpe – Rugby road) approx 130 yds west of junction to Bourton-on-Dunsmore at TP2.

Proceed east on B4453 to junction with A45.

Turn left onto A45 and proceed over island at junction with Fosse way and past slip road to A445 to take slip road to A423 beyond ex-Peugeot works.

Proceed along A423, keeping straight on at island junction with A445 and proceed to Princethorpe.

Turn left onto B4453 to pass starting point.

Repeat circuit to complete over 2 lap.

Continue past start on second lap along B4453 to finish in line with road drain on left at entrance to Blooms Garden Centre, approx 200 yds before junction with A45.

Road Bike Definition

We have agreed on the following CTT’s definition:

1. No aerobars, clip on aerobars or aero extensions to be used
2. Hands must be holding the handlebars at all times whilst racing (ie. not with forearms resting on the handlebar)
3. Wheels must have a minimum of 12 spokes each, and have a maximum rim depth of 90 mm
4. Helmets to have no visor
5. Ears must not be covered by the helmet (Giro Aerohead II helmets are not permitted)
